NSTALL Privacy Policy

NSTALL (“NSTALL,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it may be shared, and the choices available to you when you use the NSTALL mobile application and related services.
By using NSTALL, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use NSTALL, we may collect the following categories of information.
Account Information
When you create or maintain a NSTALL account, we may collect information such as:
- Your name
- Email address
- Account type, such as Installer or Client
- Profile information
- Shop or business name
- Location or service area
- Profile photo
- Biography
- Installer specialties
- Other information you choose to add to your profile
User-Generated Content
NSTALL allows users to create and interact with content. We may store information you submit through the service, including:
- Posts
- Photos
- Videos
- Comments and replies
- Likes
- Saved posts
- Reviews and review replies
- Installation tips
- Disassembly guides
- Messages
- Quote requests
- Quotes
- Job information
- Before-and-after job media
Some of this information may be visible to other NSTALL users depending on the feature being used.
Communications
When you communicate through NSTALL, we may process and store information associated with those communications, including direct messages between users and communications associated with leads, quotes, jobs, reviews, or support.
Location Information
NSTALL may request access to location information when you use location-based features such as Near Me.
Location information may be used to help identify installers or shops near you and calculate approximate distances.
You may control NSTALL's access to device location through your device settings. Certain location-based features may not function if location access is disabled.
Photos, Videos, and Media
If you choose to upload photos or videos, NSTALL may access media you select from your device.
Selected media may be uploaded and stored to provide features such as posts, profiles, quote requests, job documentation, installation guides, and portfolio content.
NSTALL does not need access to media you do not choose to provide.
Notifications and Device Information
If you enable push notifications, NSTALL may collect and store information necessary to deliver notifications, such as a push notification token and basic device platform information.
Notifications may include activity relating to messages, followers, reviews, leads, quotes, jobs, schedules, and other account activity.
You can disable notifications through your device settings.
Subscription Information
Installer users may purchase NSTALL PRO through Apple's App Store.
Purchases are processed by Apple. NSTALL does not directly receive or store your full payment card information.
We may receive and process subscription-related information necessary to determine whether you have an active NSTALL PRO subscription, such as:
- Subscription status
- Subscription plan
- Subscription expiration or renewal information
- Purchase entitlement information
- App Store-related subscription identifiers
We may use third-party subscription infrastructure, including RevenueCat, to help manage subscription entitlements and purchase status.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information collected through NSTALL to:
- Create and maintain user accounts
- Provide profiles and installer portfolios
- Display posts, reviews, comments, and other user-generated content
- Enable communication between installers and clients
- Provide leads, quotes, scheduling, and job-management functionality
- Provide installation guides and educational content
- Save user preferences and saved content
- Provide location-based shop discovery
- Deliver notifications
- Verify NSTALL PRO subscription access
- Provide customer support
- Investigate reports and enforce NSTALL rules
- Prevent abuse, fraud, or misuse of the service
- Maintain the security and reliability of NSTALL
- Diagnose technical problems
- Improve NSTALL and its features
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
3. User-Generated Content and Public Information
Certain information you choose to post may be visible to other users.
This can include your profile information, shop information, portfolio posts, comments, reviews, installation guides, and other content intended to be shared through NSTALL.
You should avoid posting personal, confidential, or sensitive information that you do not want other users to see.
Private messages are not intended to be publicly displayed, although they may be processed as necessary to provide messaging, safety, reporting, and moderation functionality.
4. Reports, Blocking, and Moderation
NSTALL provides tools designed to help maintain a safe community.
Users may be able to:
- Report users
- Report posts
- Report comments
- Report reviews
- Report messages
- Block other users
When content or an account is reported, we may review information associated with the report and the reported content or account.
We may retain moderation-related information when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, enforce our rules, protect users, prevent repeated violations, or comply with legal obligations.
5. How Information May Be Shared
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
Information may be shared in the following circumstances.
With Other Users
Information that you intentionally make available through public or community features may be displayed to other NSTALL users.
Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers to operate NSTALL. These providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services.
These may include providers supporting:
- Authentication
- Database hosting
- Cloud storage
- Application infrastructure
- Push notifications
- Subscription management
- App Store purchases
NSTALL currently uses services including Supabase, Apple, and RevenueCat for portions of its infrastructure and functionality.
We expect service providers handling user information on our behalf to maintain protections appropriate to the information they process.
Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental requests
- Protect the rights or safety of NSTALL, our users, or others
- Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our policies
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
Business Transfers
If NSTALL or the business operating NSTALL is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
6. Data Storage and Security
NSTALL uses third-party infrastructure, including Supabase, to provide database, authentication, and file-storage functionality.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Data Retention
We generally retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide NSTALL
- Maintain your account
- Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy
- Resolve disputes
- Prevent fraud or abuse
- Enforce our agreements
- Meet legal obligations
Some information may be removed sooner when you delete content or your account.
Certain information may be retained when required or permitted by law or when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement purposes.
8. Account and Data Deletion
NSTALL provides an account-deletion option within the application.
You can initiate deletion through:
Profile → Settings → Delete Account
Deleting your NSTALL account is permanent.
Account deletion is designed to remove your account and associated personal data and user-generated content from NSTALL systems, except for information that we are legally required or otherwise permitted to retain.
This may include associated profile information, posts, media, comments, messages, reviews, saved information, and other account-related data.
If you have an active subscription purchased through Apple's App Store, deleting your NSTALL account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription.
You should manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple subscription settings. Apple's subscription billing may continue until the subscription is canceled through Apple.
9. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information.
These may include the ability to:
- Access certain personal information
- Correct information
- Delete your account and associated information
- Control device permissions
- Disable push notifications
- Control location access
- Request information about how your data is handled
Device permissions can generally be changed through your iPhone or iPad settings.
You may also contact us regarding privacy-related questions or requests.
10. Children's Privacy
NSTALL is not intended for children under the minimum age permitted to use the service under applicable law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected improperly, we may take reasonable steps to remove it.
11. Third-Party Services
NSTALL may rely on or interact with third-party services, including Apple, Supabase, and RevenueCat.
Those services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
NSTALL is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party services where those services determine their own purposes and methods for processing information.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as NSTALL develops or our practices change.
When we make changes, we may update the effective date at the top of this policy and provide additional notice when appropriate.
Your continued use of NSTALL after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective is subject to applicable law.
